It has been glorious at Cedar Bluffs. What is it about raindrops on flowers that is so beautiful? It’s interesting to me that most of the time I take a close-up photograph, I miss seeing the insects on plants. I didn’t see this fly, or maybe it’s a bee, until I looked at the photo.
My daughter Johanna was home for Father’s Day, and she spotted these spiders on this milkweed blossom.
Speaking of insects on milkweed, check out this Monarch caterpillar!

Our humans were busy too. On the left are some items I found and curated at the post by the gate. The glasses found someone interested in them in a couple of days and disappeared. The long black thing is some kind of tie I don’t know, and it took about a week for it to find a home. On the right, you can see that someone tossed these items to the ground. I find this odd behavior. I understand seeing these artifacts and wanting to look at them, but I would return them to where I found them. The fact is, while the wire-thing moved around a bit, the glove moves nearly every day, and has for a couple of weeks, but I always put it back.

Some mornings, Violet the Dog and I find the glove in an awkward position, like upper left above, crumpled up, and looking uncomfortable. Can you imagine holding your hand in that position for very long? So I always unfold her fingers gently so she will be more comfortable before we go on our walk. Hopefully, she will find her missing partner, and her home, soon.
Are you missing a glove?
